| Description:The planetarium has been at Seneca College, Newnham Campus, since 1972. The star theatre can accommodate up to 60 people who can watch a simulated night sky containing 2000 stars on a 10 meter hemispherical dome. As well, other natural events such as meteors, meteor showers, comets, and northern lights can be presented in many dazzling ways to enhance the sky. The presentations are given live by Coop Students from the University of Waterloo who are committed to increasing knowledge in astronomy and science. |
